We offer Spinal Decompression Therapy at Creekside Chiropractic. We have helped many patients avoid surgery on bulging and herniated disc. It also helps alleviate pain for patients with arthritis, facet syndrome, degeneration of the spine, sciatica, and a decrease in joint space. It’s a state of the art technology that can help you also.
After your initial visit and upon determination that you are a candidate for spinal decompression therapy, we get you set on a treatment schedule to not only fix the issue but get your spine to a point where it avoids future problems of the same nature.
Spinal decompression involves gently stretching the spine, decompressing the disc, creating a negative pressure inside the disc that draws fluid, oxygen, and other nutrients into the disc. This raises the disc height increasing the amount of space nerves and vessels have to run through openings in the spine. We use a set amount of weight applied to the spine to ensure the safety of the patient and the area of the spine that is compromised. I do not recommend using an inversion table. While some people do find relief there are conditions that will be aggravated and made worse if certain people put the uncontrolled amount of weight on the spinal segment. In the office on the decompression machine, we have total control over the amount of pressure applied to the spinal segments.
